From Indianapolis Area:
Take I-74 East to Highway 244 Exit 119(just past the last Shelbyville Exit). Go Trough Milroy to Andersonville, then turn Right or East onto US 52, go through Metamora to Brookville. In Brookville turn left onto 1 and 101 (start looking as soon as you get into Brookville). Stay on Highway 101 and go 6 miles to the Mounds State Recreation Area. Turn in there and sign in at the Gatehouse.
From Indianapolis and points North:
Take I-70 to Richmond and go South on US 27 Exit 151 to Liberty. In Liberty you want to continue South on Highway 101 approximately 8 miles to the Mounds State Recreation Area. Turn Right into Mounds State Recreation Area and sign in at the Gatehouse.
From Cincinnati and Kentucky Area:
Take I-275 to Indiana to West I-74 and exit onto the Brookville, Indiana Exit #169. Turn left onto US 52 West. Travel about 12 miles to Brookeville, after you pass McDonald’s Restaurant watch for signs indicating State Road 101 North. Bear to the right and take State Road 101 North for 6 miles to the Mounds State Recreation Area, Turn left into the property and sign in at the Gatehouse.
From Southern Indiana:
You have to go somewhere else to start!!! Seriously, take US 50 through Versailles to State Road 129 and go North. Take 129 to State Road 46 in Batesville and go East (or turn Right) until you get to highway 1. Go North on Highway 1 for about 5 miles until you get to a “T” intersection. That will be US 52. Turn Left or West and go about 5 miles to Brookville. After you pass McDonald’s Restaurant watch for signs indicating State Road 101 North. Bear to the Right and take State Road 101 North for 6 miles to the Mounds State Recreation Area, Turn Left into the property and sign in at the Gatehouse.
